Moses was a religious leader, lawgiver and prophet, to whom the authorship of the Torah was traditionally credited. He was the most important prophet in Judaism, and was also considered an important prophet by Christianity, Islam, the Bahá'í Faith, Rastafari, and many other religions.
Moses' staff was, in reality, a Staff of Eden, which he used to free the Israelites from Egyptian rule, as well as his most known feat of "parting the Red Sea". Moses was also the first known member of humanity to possess a Staff of Eden.

it was mentioned durring one of Altair's many talks with Al Mualim. He first said that Moses had parted the Red Sea with the peice of eden. Later on he admits it was an illusion made by the staff (peice of eden)
