Melissanthi Mahut
Melissanthi Mahut is a Greek-Canadian actress. She provided the voice for the character Kassandra in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

Assassin's Creed
In the 2017 video game Assassin's Creed: Origins, Melissanthi Mahut lent her voice to many background Greek citizens of Egypt.[1][2]
After her voice performance in Origins, Ubisoft asked her to audition for another project. After passing the first audition in London, Melissanthi flew back to Canada for the final audition. It was there she met with Alexios' voice actor Michael Antonakos, with whom she performed the final audition with. She then started voice work in May 2017.[3] Melissanthi's casting was then officially announced as the lead role in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey in June 2018. Ubisoft wished to hire as many native Greek speakers as possible.[4]
After being cast, Melissanthi researched female video game protagonists but found the best way to embody Kassandra was to simply be herself. Playing Kassandra was also the first time Melissanthi performed a role in motion capture. To voice the character, Melissanthi had to read a script in its entirety, taking anywhere from two to four hours. Regarding the romances in the game, Melissanthi thought it natural to be able to romance anyone. Melissanthi found the popular response to Kassandra initially overwhelming but filled her with joy. Melissanthi saves as many pieces fan-art of Kassandra as she can. As of January 2019, Melissanthi herself still had not played the game.[3]
Melissanthi returned in 2021 to reprise her role as Kassandra in a DLC crossover with the 2020 video game Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.
