Mary Lynch (neé Mckye; 1956 – 1988)[1] was the wife of the Assassin Joseph Lynch, mother of Callum Lynch, descendant of the 18th century French Assassin Arno Dorian and a member of the Assassin Brotherhood.

Her husband killed her to prevent the Templars from accessing Mary's ancestral memories, which were the key to an Apple of Eden. After Mary's willing sacrifice, Joseph should have killed Callum too, to protect the Creed and the Apple, but he instead told their son to flee before the arrival of the Templars led by Alan Rikkin.[2]

Mary's death and Joseph's capture left Callum all alone in the world and he grew up into a violent man who during his childhood saw his father kill his mother to protect a Brotherhood he wasn't even aware of.[2]
