Mantua

Mantua is a city in Italy.

History

In 1503, Italian Assassins Francesco Vecellio and Tessa Varzi foiled an assassination plan by Cesare Borgia on Urbino's Duchess, Elisabetta Gonzaga by removing her from Rome and placing her in a carriage bound for Mantua. She arrived safely at the city, though soon returned to her family in Urbino.^[1]
