The Krokottas' Den was the abode of the Krokottas Hyena during the 5th century BCE.

The beast had made its home along a road in Skandeia Bay on Kythera Island, on a dry patch surrounded by a shallow pool.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra found the den and the beast, killing it. She took its pelt as proof of her success to Daphnae, the acting leader of the Daughters of Artemis.[2]
