Hemon (died 70 BCE) was the Elder of the Medjay, who took residence in Djerty. In 70 BCE a fellow Medjay, Sabu, visited Hemon to warn him of an assassin, killing off the Medjay. Sabu later left to search for said assassin. Unfortunately the assassin, Bion, found Hemon and captured both him and his assistant, Sebestet. After interrogating both of them he kills them, learning that now Sabu and his son, Bayek, are the last of the Medjay.[1]
