Hemming (died 876) was a natural and charismatic jarl, as well as Halfdan Ragnarsson's bulwark in their fight against the Picts. He united the Saxons and Norsemen, creating peace in his time.[2] He was the father of Vili Hemmingson.[3]
Behind the scenes
Despite Assassin's Creed: Valhalla showing Hemming dying in 876, in Valhalla's second DLC expansion The Siege of Paris, the character Toka Sinricsdottir arrives in Ravensthorpe to convince Eivor to help the titular siege of Paris and says that she sought Hemming's help, even though the Viking attack in 885 was nearly a decade after his death.
