Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire (née Spencer; 1757 – 1806) was an English aristocrat and socialite.[1] Around 1785, the English artist Thomas Gainsborough was hired to paint her portrait. In 1876, the notorious criminal Adam Worth stole the painting from Thomas Agnew & Sons's gallery in London.[2]
