Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire (née Spencer; 1757 – 1806) was an English aristocrat and socialite.[1] Around 1785, Thomas Gainsborough was hired to paint her portrait. In 1876, the painting was stolen from Thomas Agnew & Sons's gallery by notorious criminal Adam Worth.[2]
