George Featherway
George Featherway was a British lieutenant who participated in the Gallipoli Campaign in Turkey during World War I.
Biography
After the disastrous campaign, George was hospitalized in April 1915 and wrote a letter to his uncle detailing his wellbeing to his uncle, who served as a politician in Westminster in London, England. In his letter, George also expressed his digust for the British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, stating he should be dimissed for the campaign and his recklessness.[1]
In 1916, the Assassin Lydia Frye recovered George's letter in city. After the war, George accepted his uncle's offer of a post in Westminster, briefly as a politician. He later became a prospered businessman.[1]
