Flag

From the Assassin's Creed Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Flags have been scattered by members of the various factions throughout the Holy Land to lay claim to particular regions of territory. There are different kinds of flags, each representing a different religious/military faction. Altaïr can collect these flags (the assassins seem to believe the Holy Land belonged to no one and everyone), to complete Additional Memories and attain Achievements.

Locations

The website Assassin's Creed Interactive Maps has maps for the Kingdom, Masyaf, and each district of Damascus, Acre, and Jerusalem with numbered markers for the locations of every flag. When you hover your mouse over a marker, a screen shot of the flag in-game pops up. Click on the marker for a high resolution version of the screen shot. The maps also include Templars in the same manner. Beneath each map is a checklist to assist in recording which flags have already been collected. It uses browser cookies to remember selections. These maps were created by Firestorm and thus do not infringe on the copyrighted maps from the Official Game Guide by Prima Games.

For a video walkthrough of all the flags and Templars, see The Hidden Blade website. These videos demonstrate an efficient collection route and use the same numbering scheme as Firestorm's maps. They were created by IanXO4 and stabguy to assist players who wish to quickly collect all of the flags and Templars or recheck a district for one missing flag. Total running time of the walkthrough is 150 minutes including unedited travel from one flag to the next.

Flags In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

Flags make their return in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood in the form of Borgia flags. There are 101 Borgia flags to collect in Rome (18 of them on Lairs of Romulus). To make the flag colleting easier in brotherhood, the game have some new features, such as Flags Maps at Art Merchants. Another feature is that every time Ezio see a flag it will be marked on the map.

Collecting all 101 flags will reward Ezio with the Borgia Cape, which makes Ezio permanently Incognito.

Achievements

Collecting all of the flags of a particular kind will, in the Xbox 360 version, give the player an achievement.
