Alan Jacob was a businessman who served as the representative of the Far East Company in Portuguese Macau. Alongside Jan Van Aert of the Dutch East India Company and Master Sun of the Hualien Trading Company, he was a rival of the trading company led by Madam Lee.

Influenced by the Templars, Alan and the two hired the Shimazu clan[1] to eliminate Madam Lee at the Mandarin's House.[2]
