Dysert was a ringfort situated in the mountains, west of Errigal Summit, in western Ulster, Ireland.

During the 9th century, Dysert was a trading post specialized in trading scriptures that had been abandoned and taken over by Ulster's soldiers. Between 879 and 882, the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir aided Azar by clearing the ringfort of the soldiers and obtaining the deed poll to the site, allowing the re-establishment of the trade post connecting to Dublin.[1]
