Daybreak Boys
The Daybreak Boys were a gang active in New York City from between the late 1840s to 1859.
History
In July 1863, during the build up towards the New York City draft riots, the remnants of the Daybreak Boys as well as the other major gangs; the Bowery Boys and the Roach Guards, in addition to a few of the lesser known New York gangs had agreed to a temporary cease to their hostilities in order to work towards a bigger prize.[1]
