Originally coming from the tea trade during the Abbasid Caliphate, Hong's family owns a successful mian business back in China. Resolving to spread the joy of noodles to the masses, Hong traveled the seas to Wakasa, where he gained popularity amongst the locals.

A man of few words, Hong is the best listener a drunk customer could ever hope for. Often, his well-delivered silences convey more than words can.
