Koroni or Corone (Greek: Κορώνη) is a town in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece.

During the Renaissance, Koroni was one of the territories of the Republic of Venice and was known as Corone by the Venetians and Ottomans.[1]

In 1499, the Ottoman Empire defeated Venice during the Battle of Zonchio and sized Corone, Lepanto, and Modone.[2]
