Conradus Celtis (February 1, 1459 – February 4, 1508), was a German Renaissance humanist scholar and Neo-Latin poet. During the 16thcentury, the Assassin Order discovered that Celtis was going to write a publication about the Brotherhood's history, which contained fiction and legends, but also comprised some truths about the covert organisation. The Assassin Ezio Auditore sent apprentices to speak with the historian, who was persuaded into not publishing the material. Celtis was disappointed, but later became an ally of the Assassins.
