Claude Langlais is a game programmer and has worked on several Assassin's Creed games while working for Ubisoft.

Assassin's Creed

In an April 2007 interview with Kikizo, Claude Langlais, then the technical director at Ubisoft Montreal, emphasized the role of crowds in the upcoming Assassin's Creed, describing them as a crucial "second character" that reacts to player actions and can be influenced to support the protagonist, Altair. Langlais noted that the game would be accessible without prior historical knowledge, blending historical facts with fiction. He also hinted that while 95% of the game is set during the Third Crusade, there would be elements that remain undisclosed.[1]

At the 2008 Game Developers Choice Awards, Langlais was nominated for an award in the Best Technology category for his work on Assassin's Creed. Then, a year later at the 2009 British Academy Game Awards he received three nominated alongside Jade Raymond and Patrice Désilets for awards in Technical Achievement, Artistic Achievement, and Best Story and Character for the same title.[2]
