Charlotte de la Cruz

Charlotte de la Cruz is a woman who undertook Assassin training in the 21st century.

An overeducated and underemployed woman of mixed heritage in her mid-twenties, Charlotte spent her free time chasing down conspiracy theories on the Darknet. She loved Abstergo products and mainly their games about the Assassins, but despite the Templar intent of featuring their enemies as the villains, Charlotte was seeing the Assassins as the heroes. At some point, by using the Helix system she began to relive the genetic memories of her ancestor, Tom Stoddard, an Assassin present during the Salem witch trials, and came into contact with the Assassin Brotherhood via Assassins Galina Voronina and Xavier Chen. This made her a target for the Templar Order, who quickly moved against her.

Tom Stoddard was cold, tough, keeping his emotions to himself and a strong believer of the Creed, but for him everything was about the mission so he was not the kind of Assassin who regularly stopped along the way to help some people. While reliving his memories, Charlotte began to question his actions, which at some point made her question her willingness to become an Assassin herself.
