- ―Randvi's advice to Ceolbert[src]
Ceolbert (died 873) was a Mercian nobleman and the son of Ceolwulf II. His father reigned as King of Mercia following the deposition of Burgred by Ivarr and Ubba in 873. He was destined to be the Ealdorman of Mercia, succeeding his father. Ceolbert joined Ivarr and Eivor in Ledecestreshire and Sciropescire. He was found dead in a cave at the end of his life. His death was used to inspire a siege of Rhodri's castle. It turned out it was committed by his former father-figure and mentor, Ivarr.
