Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, commonly known as Paracelcus (11 November or 17 December 1493 in Einsiedeln – 24 September 1541 in Salzburg) was a Swiss Renaissance physician, botanist, alchemist, astrologer, and general occultist.

Bombastus was also secretly a member of the Assassin Order. In 1520, he was visited by his fellow Assassin Giovanni Borgia, who had just returned from México, and had brought Bombastus one of the Crystal Skulls to study. They could not find out how the artifact worked, until Bombastus brought it together with a certain book. As Giovanni read the book, he was revelated with symbols and visions. After he had written them down, Bombastus followed the formula, and discovered it to be the makings of the Philosopher's stone.
