The Dniester

The Dniester is a river in Eastern Europe.

History[edit | edit source]

In 870, during his travels east, the Viking Sigurd Styrbjornsson of the Raven Clan and his cousin Knud sailed to Bulgar along the Dniester. There, they dealt with an attempted ambush at a swordsmith's shop and learned about the location of a wealthy merchant's castle[1] on the so-called "Dniester Trail".[2]
