Why couldn't Karl Marx be an Assassin? Niccolo Machiavelli was a member of the Brotherhod. Even more because of all the points you said:

the Assassins supported the Bolsheviks during the Russian Revolution and pressured Tsar Nicholas II into abdicating the throne, and capitalism was installed by the Templars.

I know someone being a control freak doesn't make them a Templar but it certainly steers them more on to the side of Templar ideology. As the Templars want peace through control and order.
