The Hathaway Family Sword was a sword that once belonged to Black Cross Eamon Hathaway. In the early 1580s, Eamon and fellow Black Cross Nirmala arrived in Japan, ostensively to hunt down Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke though both Templars were more interested in following leads on an Isu location they believed to be the Observatory.[1] After a confrontation between the two pairs that left Yasuke near death and the Black Crosses with the key to the vault,[2] Naoe tracked them down to the cave at Wakasa. There, she fought against Nirmala and Eamon until a surprise appearance by Yasuke allowed her to assassinate Nirmala with her Hidden Blade. Despite putting up a fight, he soon was defeated and Yasuke took the sword, along with Eamon's helm and armor, as spoils.[3]
