To me Connor was a likeable character with some annoying traits (a lot like Raiden from MGS2 but slightly less annoying) but overall i really liked his character. However he was naive, short sighted and (lets face it) stupid and thats what made me feel bad for him at the end of the game. He sees the Patriots aren't any better than the British, his clan is forced off its land, his mom and father figure die (he had to kill his dad) and he realises that the world isn't black and white and despite all his efforts none of the innocent benifited hugly from the change in command...
