You're trying to tell me that Altair and Ezio did not have any moral compasses? Altair followed orders and performed his duty, granted he didn't know any other life, but he enjoyed what he did... if he didn't, he would have quit. I'm sure that warrants some sense of justice for the people. Ezio became very dedicated in ACB, and fought tyranny, he even participated in fighting with the Ottoman Assassins against the Byzantine faction of Templars, if Ezio wasn't a man who cared, he wouldn't have involved himself.
