I personally don't mind whether or not Connor returns in whatever media. If he does, I only hope Ubi actually develops his character more and doesn't cut stuff out like they did with AC3.

However, there is one major problem I have with Connor getting another game, and that's setting. I really doubt that they'll bring Connor to France (plus I don't really support the idea), and if he stays in New England, unless he lives to be insanely old, we won't see much change in the setting (adding new cities will barely help). Even if he does live a long life, by the time the cities develop, he'll probably be too old to be the central character.

They really didn't leave much room for a Connor sequel, now that I think about it.
