Tazu was a Japanese girl who lived in Ōmi during the late Sengoku period. In 1582, pleading for rice, the young girl walked around the streets of both Azuchi and Hachiman. She soon came across the Kakushiba ikki member and samurai Yasuke. When she asked him for rice, Yasuke obliged and gifted her rice for her and others to share, elating the girl.[1]
