Besançon is a city in France.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1527, Maria Amiel and Assassin Giovanni Borgia travelled to Besançon on their way to Paris. On the trip from Basel to Besançon, they traveled alone, but from Besançon to Paris they joined a group of merchants, believing it was safer to travel with them.[1]
