Besançon is a city in France.

History

In 1527, Maria Amiel and Assassin Giovanni Borgia travelled to Besançon on their way to Paris. On the trip from Basel to Besançon, they traveled alone, but from Besançon to Paris they joined a group of merchants, believing it safer to travel with them.[1]
