Cináed mac Duib (Modern Gaelic: Coinneach mac Dhuibh; c. 966 – c. 1005), anglicised as Kenneth III, was King of Scotland from 997 until his death.

During his reign, Kenneth was given a plot of land by King Edgar of England, which served as the residence for the Scottish monarchs whenever they visited England for the next 600 years. After being demolished in the early 18th century, the former residence was eventually converted into the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police Service.[1]
