Apollodorus of Damascus was a Syrian-Greek engineer, architect, designer and sculptor from Damascus, Roman Syria, who flourished during the 2nd century. He was a favourite subject of the Roman Emperor Trajan, who commissioned him to construct a baths,[1] a market,[2] and a column[3] in various parts of Rome.
