Notes

So, about the incorrect renditions of the tale:

  • Bubo the mechanical owl (referred to as Athena's golden-geared owl in dialogue) only makes a brief cameo appearance in Clash 2010. Since the dialogue mentions it leading Perseus to the monster's lair (which didn't happen in the remake), it's likely a reference to the original Clash starring Harry Hamlin.
  • Perseus traveling to Joppa and falling in love with Andromeda also references the original Clash. I can't attest to Joppa being a biblical reference or not since I'm not religious.
  • The child Danae saying "You can't escape your fate" could be a reference to Prince of Persia: Warrior Within as a similar statement ("You cannot change your fate") is made to the Prince in the opening sequence and referenced numerous times throughout the game.
