Wolves Among The Dead is a memory in Assassins Creed: Brotherhood.
Description
Ezio entered the Catacombe di Roma beneath the Piramide Cestia, in search of a shrine to Romulus. He traversed the Catacombs until he arrived at a large hall, where he encountered two Followers of Romulus. He attempted to converse with them, asking them for their leader.
Ignoring Ezio's request, the men hurriedly left the hall through an exit at the upper level of the room, severing the rope used to escape. Ezio scaled the giant hall and followed the path taken by the Followers, before arriving at another room. Here, he was surrounded by a group of Followers with weapons drawn.
The Followers attacked Ezio, and after dealing with the first wave of attackers, he scaled the multi-leveled room, defeating Followers on each of the floors. Upon reaching the top floor, Ezio left through an archway and arrived at the shrine to Romulus. Opening the chest, he claimed a scroll and another key to unlock the treasure of Romulus. Ezio then left the catacombs and returned to Rome.
Dialogue
Ezio entered the large hall and encountered two Followers of Romulus.
- Ezio: I seek those who lead the Followers of Romulus.
After leaving the large hall, Ezio arrived at another room, where he was surrounded by Followers of Romulus.
- Follower of Romulus 1: (Laughing)
- Follower of Romulus 2: Hear us, oh Romulus, what must we do to this trespasser?
The Followers advanced on Ezio.
- Ezio: Do not listen. Only the Borgia speak through him, not your god.
- Follower of Romulus 2: Romulus says that the Assassin must die!
Outcome
Ezio retrieved a key and scroll of Romulus, and left the Catacombs.
Trivia
- To get 100% synchronization, the player must finish the memory within eight minutes.
- The path through the maze-like catacombs is marked by both torches (wherein the flames blow in the appropriate direction) and arrows drawn onto the walls (which may only be seen through Eagle Vision).
- Three flags may be found in this Secret Location.
- If you use Eagle Vision near the entrance to the basilica, you will notice two drawings on the floor: a block of text saying "Artefacts sent to the skies to control all nations, to make us obey a hidden crusade. Do not help them" and the Eden Pyramid. These are the same messages Subject 16 wrote in the Abstergo Laboratory.
- In the maze of tunnels, the tunnels lit by torchs are the fastest route to the romulus scroll while poorly-lit tunnels often lead to chambers containing treasure.
