The Valkyrie's Legacy Set was a set of armor originally owned and worn by Hildr, a member of the Valkyries. Following a failed revolution against Odin, she was imprisoned and her armor set was locked away in his vault.[1]
In the late 9th century, Hildiran, a descendant of Hildr, tricked Eivor Varinsdottir into uncovering the location of a compass that would lead to the armor set's vault,[1] sending Eivor to find the location of it in East Anglia.[2] After the Viking managed to unlock the entrance to the vault, Hildiran knocked her out and took the armor for herself. The pair fought, though Eivor eventually emerged as the victor, with Hildiran giving her both her loyalty and the armor set.[2]
