A Mohawk village.

The Mohawk were a tribe of indigenous people found in upstate New York. They called themselves the Kanien'gehaga or Kanien'keha:ka, which means "People of the Flint". One such Mohawk village was by a lakeside in the Diamond Basin, on the Frontier.

Notable Residents:

At least one of their members, Ratonhnhaké:ton, joined the Assassin Order. His mother, Kaniehti:io, brought him up alone until she died in a fire when he was a child. One of childhood friends was Kanen'tó:kon, who remained friends together into later life. The Clan Mother posed as the tribe's elder and allowed Ratonhnhaké:ton to interact with her Crystal Ball, which allowed him to enter the Synch Nexus and to communicate with Juno.

American Revolutionary War

During the American Revolutionary War, due to unresolved conflicts with settlers encroaching into the Mohawk Valley, and outstanding treaty obligations to the British Crown, the Mohawk fought against the Continental Army, though Ratonhnhaké:ton's village remained neutral to the fighting, as they were ordered by the First Civilization member Juno to protect the Grand Temple.
