Didymos was an Athenian man, who was regarded as a hero.

When he attempted to sacrifice an animal to the god Dionysos, a dog snatched the sacrificial animal. Where this happened Didymos built the Garden of Kynosarges.[1]

  • Didymos is a name derived from the Greek word δίδυμος (dídymos), which means 'twin'.
