Plain Cape

Description: The Plain Cape is purely cosmetic. It does not affect Ezio in anyway as wearing it, guards will react to you normally and your notoriety will be affected normally. You gain this cape when you first put on the assassins suit.
Color: Gray with Crimson inside.
Obtained by: Retrieving Giovanni's Assassin Outfit in the mission "Family Heirloom"
Medici Cape

Description: While wearing the Medici Cape in Florence or Tuscany your notoriety will remain at zero. However, the guards will still react to criminal behavior.
Color: Red with a strip of yellow and much slimmer line of red at the bottom, with the symbol of the Medici family at the cape's mid-point. It also has black on the inside.
Obtained by: Assassinating Jacopo de' Pazzi, where Lorenzo de' Medici gives it to Ezio before you leave for Venice.
Venetian Cape

Description: While wearing the Venetian Cape in Romagna or Venice your notoriety will remain at zero. However, the guards will still react to criminal behavior.
Color: Blue with the addition of a dark brown strip on the bottom, with the symbol of the city of Venice at the mid-point of the cape. The inside is golden.
Obtained by: Defeating Rodrigo Borgia in Sequence 11 and attending the Assassins' initiation in Venice.
Auditore Cape

Description: While wearing this cape outside of Monteriggioni you automatically become Notorious. When you remove the cape however, your notoriety returns to its previous level. Also note that heralds will not mention you in their announcements.
Color: Black colour with the Auditore family symbol and crimson inside.
Obtained by: Collecting all 100 feathers scattered throughout Renaissance Italy.
Achievement/Trophy: "Show Your Colors". You must wear the Auditore Cape in every city, and the Mountains area.
Altaïr's Robes

Description: Accessing Altaïr from the Animus databases will not affect Ezio's current equipment or armor settings.
Color: Altaïr's robes from Assassin's Creed.
Obtained by: Claiming the Ubisoft UPlay award (30 points) on UPlay Win.
Trivia
- Altaïr's Robes changes Ezio's model to Altaïr's, seen in Desmond's hallucination sequence. This is shown as the left ring finger is amputated, the double blade doesn't have a physical form on the character despite being usable, and the beard Ezio gains during the battle of Forli sequence is not present while playing with this skin in these sequences. However, Ezio retains his own voice, not Altaïr's.
- There are also 4 other outfits which do not appear on the outfits screen:
- Carnevale Mask: Your notoriety remains at zero in Venice during the Carnevale. Your outfit cannot be changed during this time.
- Golden Carnival Mask: This has no effect on your notoriety. (This allows you to be notorious while the guards are looking for you during the Doge's Party.
- Noble Suit: The clothes Ezio wears before he obtains the Assassins robes. Your notoriety will be zero while in Florence.
- Guard Armor: The clothes of a Leader-ranked standard you wear while delivering the Apple of Eden to Rodrigo Borgia. While wearing the armor, Ezio will remain unnoticed by guards until reaching Rodrigo.
- While the inside of the capes are set to a specific color, they can be changed if Ezio's Assassin's Outfit is dyed a different color.
- There are several glitches while wearing the robes of Altaïr. If Ezio has no more throwing knives the holders are still full of them. The scabbard for the knife on his back is also empty and the animation for putting the knife away shows it being placed on the hip by the sword but it disappears once put away. The player can still use the dual hidden blades but there is no blade visible on Altaïr's right hand. Unlike in the first Assassin's Creed game, there is no scabbard for Altair's sword, it simply hangs at his hip with the blade exposed. If wearing the robes of Altaïr when acquiring the hidden blade, instead of wearing Altaïr's robes, you will wear Ezio's, but after Leonardo gives him the blade, the robes will change into Altaïr's
