In Assassin's Creed II, Ezio will be able to obtain four outfits. These outfits are simply capes with different colors and with most of them, a different emblem representing a city or family during the Renaissance. It is possible to obtain a fifth one, Altaïr's costume, by purchasing it for 30 Upoints from Uplay.

Plain Cape

Plain Cape

Description: The Plain Cape is purely cosmetic. It does not affect Ezio in anyway as wearing it, guards will react to you normally and your notoriety will be effected normally. You gain this cape when you first put on the assassins suit.

Color: Black with Crimson inside.

Obtained by: Achieving the Assassins attire in the mission "Family Heirloom"

Medici Cape

Medici Cape

Description: While wearing the Medici Cape in Florence or Tuscany your notoriety will remain at zero. However, the guards will still react to criminal behavior.

Color: Red with a strip of yellow and much slimmer line of red at the bottom, with the symbol of the Medici family at the cape's mid-point.

Obtained by: Assassinating Jacopo de' Pazzi, where Lorenzo de' Medici gives it to Ezio before you leave for Venice.

Venetian Cape

Venetian Cape

Description: While wearing the Venetian Cape in Romagna or Venice your notoriety will remain at zero. However, the guards will still react to criminal behavior.

Color: Blue with the addition of a dark brown strip on the bottom, with the symbol of the city of Venice at the mid-point of the cape.

Obtained by: Defeating Rodrigo Borgia in Sequence 11 and attending the Assassins' initiation in Venice.

Auditore Cape

Auditore Cape

Description: While wearing this cape outside of Monteriggioni you automatically become Notorious. When you remove the cape however, you notoriety returns to its previous level.

Color: Same color as the plain cape but with the Auditore family symbol.

Obtained by: Collecting all 100 feathers scattered throughout Renaissance Italy.

Achievement: "Show Your Colors". You must wear the Auditore Cape in every city, and the Mountain area.

Altaïr's Robes

Altair's Robes

Description: Accessing Altaïr from the Animus databases will not effect Ezio's current equipment or armor settings.

Color: Altaïr's robes from Assassin's Creed.

Obtained by: Claiming the Ubisoft UPlay award (30 points) on UPlay Win.

Trivia

  • Altaïr's Robes doesn't actually have Ezio wear Altaïr's outfit, it changes the character model to Altaïr himself. This is shown as the left ring finger is amputated, the double blade doesn't have a physical form on the character despite being usable, and the beard Ezio gains in the final memory sequences is not present while playing as Altaïr in these sequences.
  • There are also 4 other outfits which do not appear on the outfits screen:
    • Carnevale Mask: Your notoriety remains at zero in Venice during the Carnevale. Your outfit cannot be changed during this time.
    • Carnevale Cape: Its a cape that cannot be changed during the duration of the memory sequence 9. It is just like the plain cape in gameplay terms.
    • Noble Suit: The clothes Ezio wears before he obtains the Assassins robes. Your notoriety will be zero while in Florence.
    • Guard Armor: The clothes of a Leader-ranked standard you wear while delivering the Apple of Eden to Rodrigo Borgia. While wearing the armor, Ezio will remain unnoticed by guards until reaching Rodrigo.
