Aasleagh Fort

The Aasleagh Fort was a medium-sized Irish fortification build along the River Erriff in the southern part of the region, west of the Bog Rot. It was protected by a sizeable number of soldiers.

In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew.[1]
