The mighty Surtr. He dared defy the pride of the Aesir and learned the high cost of awakening my wrath!

As I made my way onward, I saw Muspels lurking ahead of me. I attacked in a battle-fury!
Soon enough, I chanced upon a fearsome Muspel, glowing with inner fire!

The Full Might of Muspelheim

To defeat the royals of Muspelheim in one battle! Glorious unfettered combat that would have echoed throughout all realms! Odin: I will tell you now the tale of how I laid low the Lord of the Fire Giants and all his kin!
As I travelled on, I met a towering giant of flame and stone!
Soon enough, I chanced upon a fearsome Muspel, glwoing with inner fire!

Double Burning Trouble

Eysa and Sinmara. Alone, formidable. But together, such warriors forged in flames would be tough for even the All-Father to extinguish! Odin: Hearken you to the tale of my deadly duel with two of the most feared warriors of Muspelheim.
And so victory was mine, as it ever shall be.

The Princess and the Queen

The Midgard War Party

I sensed the coming battle would not be easy, but I knew my strength would be equal to the task.

The Champions of Jotunheim

Angrboda sought vengeance against the All-Father, yet sent mere minions to attempt the impossible. A foolish mistake. Odin: Listen close, and I will tell you the saga of how I crushed Angrboda's champions.
After that, I came face to face with a Jotun of extraordinary size!
Barely had they fallen than I was seen by a Jotun patrol, and battle was joined once more!
Forward I went, knowing great glory would be mine when I laid low my next opponent.
My foes were mighty indeed, but of course … I prevailed!

Muspelheim's Fiery Champions

Muspelheim saw fit to send its champions to best the All-Father. While the outcome is obvious, the story took some interesting turns. Odin: Here is the story of how I bested all three of Sinmara's champions.
Next, fate steered me into the path of a mighty Muspel, and battle was joined!

Once again, I had shown my prowess, and proved that none can defeat me!

The Fallen Warriors

The Shapeshifters of Legend

Shapeshifters. Cowards hiding behind tricks. Such miserable little piles of secrets were no match for the High One! Odin: This is how I overcame several legendary animals and the shapeshifters hiding in their ranks.
I approached a group of beasts from downwind, and caught them by surprise.
I travelled on, but in moments I was surrounded by beasts!

Glacial Bear Encounter

For most, the bites of bears and of frost are to be feared. But the High One laughs in the face of danger! Odin: Hearken to the saga of how I slew some ice bears.
I approached a group of beasts from downwind, and caught them by surprise.
In short order, a great beast was upon me!
A glorious battle indeed, I think you'll agree.

The Midgard Challengers

Three Midgard warriors dared to challenge the All-Father. Clearly Leofrith, Eadwyn, and Faravid didn't learn their lesson the first time. Odin: Let me tell you of the day I fought three warriors.
I made my way onward, but a terrible enemy loomed in my path!
A glorious battle indeed, I think you'll agree.

The Great Swamp Witches

A tragic waste. Driven mad by their father's curse, Lerion's daughters - Goneril, Regan and Cordelia - were a danger to all. Odin: This is the tale of how I sent three evil swamp witches back to the mud of Albion.
Ahead of me I saw what I knew to be my prey … and I struck!
Once again, I had shown my prowess, and proved that none can defeat me!

[These are convos with octavian that aren't part of rivalry for the ages] [I think you might be able to talk to him before building it] Eivor provided the resources to have the museum built. After it was done, she found Octavian inspecting the museum.

• Octavian: Hmmm. I suppose it will do for the moment. Though it lacks the grandiosity of the Empire at its peak.
• Eivor: You don't like it?
• Octavian: It's not that. It's just not terribly Roman. It needs more. More relics, more statuary, more ... Rome! If you happen to find any distinctly Roman artifacts on your travels, bring them by. We can make something of this mess yet.
