If there's any connection at all, it would be the other way around :-). As such, I'd like to suggest that entry be removed, or at least modified. [[User:Morgan-wolf|Morgan-wolf]] ([[User talk:Morgan-wolf|talk]]) 19:51, September 5, 2017 (UTC)

:If this were Wookieepedia, I would agree because we are supposed to be really strict against speculation like this. However, we're more lax about these trivial points here, and the problem is that you're taking the point from an in-universe perspective. Of course, the Green Dragon Inn in the game's lore itself isn't based off the Green Dragon Tavern from ''The Lord of the Rings'', but this statement is referring from an out-of-universe perspective. Demolished?

I may be wrong, but wasn't the Green Dragon demolished in 1854? There was a second one constructed, which is still in use today, so wouldn't that be the one that the Assassins visited? --Crimson Knight Intercom 13:34, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

Is it mentioned in the game that it was demolished? If so, a slight edit may be in order. Slate Vesper (talk) 13:36, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

Lord of the Rings reference

Given that the Green Dragon Tavern existed in Boston long before J.R.R. Tolkien was born, I doubt the tavern's name was a reference to anything in his books.
