Maybe I'm just getting this one wrong, but it seems to me that it is much rather a coincidence and not an easter-egg. There's just a tree, a stone and a chest, right? Seems to me that the Mario thing is more an obvious shout out than an easter egg. It's not even remotely hidden.
easter eggs don't have to be hidden there is one in gta 4 the ballad of gay tony, there is a referrence to vice city, the radio station is called vice city, and the music sounds similar to that of the game vice city MegaHyperNova 06:48, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
