:::::Yeah, I kinda figured her forehead isn't super huge; it's just the style. I noticed she has a noblewoman-looking outfit that's red with a white hat, too. Just a Suggestion...
This is just a suggestion, but concerning Aveline's mixed heritage, Creole would be a more concise term, since it is a person who is of French and African American ancestry like she. And a trivia piece could be that she resembles a pirate in some instances and her name is similar to Eveline Guerra's from AC: Revelations, and she too is a pirate. Strang3Happ3nings 21:14, June 2, 2012 (UTC)
- Her heritage is speculation, and the trivia is opinion. So I disagree. -- Master Sima Yi Clogs Marvel Studios 21:19, June 2, 2012 (UTC)
- So....they don't know what she is at this point? And that pirate thing is...not fact. Okay. Just making a suggestion. Strang3Happ3nings 06:48, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- You can't realistically call her "African American", since America didn't realistically exist at that time, so no-one could be labelled as such until later on in time. Slate Vesper 19:06, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Now that we know for sure, she can be called Creole. Even though that term was used in Spanish America (Criollos) and Brasil (or they used "mestizo") as well for half Native, half European children, it means the same thing--someone of mixed ancestry. 76.103.45.132 19:20, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- French-African is more specific. Slate Vesper 19:22, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Creole means "A person descended from French ancestors in southern United States (especially Louisiana)" or "A person of European descent born in the West Indies or Latin America" so French-African is still the preferable term as it is more accurate and specific. ~ Gabriel Auditore Let's talk 19:27, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, so the term refers to someone like me and not Aveline. Gotcha. Well, either way, she looks like an AWESOME addition to the AC series...let's hope this game sails and stays afloat...Strang3Happ3nings 03:22, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
Too soon?
I filled out the article with a load of information from the leaked GI scans. Hope that's all right; don't want to go around breaking any rules or anything. ~ Gabriel Auditore Let's talk 19:02, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- While those details might be true, they need to be sourced properly. As such, I'd suggest you wait a while before it's re-added, so that we can get solid proof, such as a clear look at the GameInformer article's text. Slate Vesper 19:04, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
- I used the scans Rapnoize uploaded here, they're of decent quality and the text is legible. Anyways, I think we'll get some more info during Ubi's press conference and even more when the magazine actually comes out ~ Gabriel Auditore Let's talk 19:15, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
Aveline's full name
This video reveals Aveline's full name (is in Spanish, but is from YouTube's Assassin's Creed Spanish account: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjl6dc6UBrk&feature=g-u-u Dr Mutran 02:54, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
While that is something, we cannot be fully sure that the last part of her name has been translated into Spanish. To fully concrete it, we would need to see other sources, of which an English one would be most beneficial. Slate Vesper 03:10, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Character names in ACseries have been the same in all languages.. --VATSA (TALK • GENTEK) 03:20, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I know it's true now, since EscoBlades released a vignette on his channel, which is in English. Slate Vesper 03:23, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
Vignette "Glitch"?
When watching the announcement trailer/vignette on Youtube, at 1:44, if you pause it, Aveline becomes someone else. Female but not herself. I suppose it's her mother? Maybe her mom is in Mexico? Strang3Happ3nings 03:58, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- It could be a brief flash of exclusive outfits. From what I saw when I paused the video around the 0:44 mark repeatedly is that one outfit is a plain, but stylish frock, and the other is an elegant dress. Slate Vesper 04:04, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- But this outfit looked like someone older...and she had a big forehead. :D Strang3Happ3nings 04:07, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- I would say that it's a view of who she was before she became an Assassin, to show that she was high class but also black. -- Master Sima Yi Clogs Marvel Studios 10:09, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- I would think it's an outfit to blend in for certain missions, because at 0:44 seconds she's wearing something different too. Oh, I hope we can change clothes in this one...>.<Strang3Happ3nings 16:07, June 5, 2012 (UTC) 16:03, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- I guess that's what the "glitch" is for. To hint at outfits for Aveline. Also, I'd just like to mention that the reason why you believe she had a large forehead is probably because she had been wearing a hat before you noticed that outfit. Once the hat was taken off, she looks like she has a large forehead because you can see more of her head, along with what appears to be the hair combed backwards. Slate Vesper 16:20, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I kinda figured her forehead isn't super huge; it's just the style. I noticed she has a noblewoman-looking outfit that's red with a white hat, too. - I don't believe it has been established that changing outfits is a feature in the game which isn't more that customization. Slate Vesper 16:54, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
