Île des Pins

Île des Pins was an island located in the northwestern reaches of the River Valley in New York.

Characterized by a cold climate and thick pine forests, the area was primarily inhabited by black bears. A French fort was eventually established on the northern coast sometime during the 18th century.

In 1758, the Assassin Adéwalé arrived in the Colonies to strike back at the Templars that had been gaining ground in the region. However, while he was refitting his ship at Îles des Pins, he was tracked down by the Templar Shay Cormac. Adéwale swiftly fled the island, with Shay following; the Assassin would later find his death on Vieille Carrière.

Shay would later return to Îles des Pins, renovating a hunting cabin and exploring the local area, retrieving a war letter and Templar map. He also protected the British spy Randall Gordon, who was stationed at the fort, from a group of Assassins.
