The Zodiac Krikotoi was an armillary sphere located in the Library of Alexandria in Egypt.
It was an observational device used to determine the locations of celestial bodies around Earth, then considered as the spheric centre of the universe. The position is fixed by corresponding the latitude and meridian rings to the position of the sun or a star.
