Yakov Mikhailovich Yurovsky (19 June 1878 – 2 August 1938) was a Russian revolutionary best known for being the chief executioner of Romanov family. He was also a member of Russian Rite of the Templar Order.
In July 4, 1918, Yurovsky became the commandant of the Ipatiev House, by the decision of the Ural Council. He later led directed the execution of the royal family on the night of July 16 to July 17, 1918.[1]
