Vibrant Palette

The Vibrant Palette was the personal knife belonging to the Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci.[1]

While Leonardo was usually a peaceful man by nature,[2] horrified at the creation of Cesare Borgia's war machines[3] and averse to acting violently in general,[4] he knew enough about the millennia-long conflict between the Assassins and Templars that he felt it wise to arm himself with a small dagger.[1]

Designed and built by Leonardo during a burst of inspiration using knowledge from an ancient tablet, the weapon featured a hilt decorated in gold and a sharp blade forged from Damascus steel. Leonardo kept it on his person as a last resort for self defense, but it never saw any use and by his later years primarily served as a further example of his craftsmanship.[1]
