Ashild, also known as Ashild the Keen, was a Norse warrior in Norway during the 9th century.
History
Rolf stayed in Stavanger with his crew to prepare to leave Norway after jarl Styrbjorn gave control of the area to king Harald Fairhair. Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan met with him and his crew when they were having a friendly fistfight to see who should one day lead the crew. Eivor joined the fistfight to test the raiders. At the very beginning Ashild hit Thorgils on the head, knocking him out. She was subsequently defeated in the fistfight by Eivor.[1]
