The tripod on the column

The Tripod of Plataia was a tripod placed on a column beside the Apollo of Salamina within Delphi in Phokis, Greece.

Made from the tithe of the Persian booty, it was dedicated to Apollo by 31 Greek cities that took part in the Battle of Plataia during the Greco-Persian Wars.[1]
